
Pita bread pockets
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Pita is a flatbread. It is used as an alternative to street food, instead of sandwiches, stuffed buns, or hot dogs. You can prepare pita with a meat filling, with vegetables, or fill it with any salad. This snack is perfect for outdoor activities, can be taken to work, or packed in children's school lunches. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.

Warm 1 cup of water to room temperature, pour it into a bowl, add sugar, yeast, and stir. Set the mixture aside for 5-10 minutes. In the bowl of a food processor, add both types of flour, make a well in the center, and pour in the yeast mixture, olive oil, and the remaining cup of warm water. Attach the dough hooks and knead for 5-10 minutes. Transfer the dough to a bowl, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of oil, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.

After the required time, knead the dough by hand and let it rest for another 20-30 minutes.

Transfer the dough onto a work surface and divide into small pieces, then shape each into a ball.

Roll out each ball slightly and leave them on the table for 1 hour; during this time, they will not increase in size, but will rise slightly.

Place the pita on a baking sheet and sprinkle with flour, then put into a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 5-6 minutes. Remove the baked pitas from the oven, wrap them in a towel, let stand for 4-6 minutes, then serve.
