Description

Homemade baked treats for tea. This recipe for choux pastry flatbreads is so simple that anyone can easily make it. Working with this dough is a real pleasure—there's no need to improvise, as the ready-made cake is easily cut into portions. Cinnamon with sugar is a perfect addition, but if desired, you can also add a pinch of vanilla. 1. First, pour water and vegetable oil into a small saucepan or skillet and place over heat. 2. Meanwhile, sift the flour. When the water begins to boil, gradually add the flour, stirring quickly. 3. Remove the saucepan from the heat, continuing to knead the dough. 4. In a small bowl, lightly beat the egg with salt. 5. Once the flour mixture has cooled slightly, start adding the egg in small portions. 6. The dough won't become smooth immediately—be prepared for that. Keep kneading until it becomes soft and elastic. 7. Lightly grease parchment paper with butter and place it on a baking tray. 8. Spread the dough evenly over the parchment. 9. Mix sugar with ground cinnamon. For extra flavor, you can also add ground ginger to this simple choux pastry flatbread recipe. 10. Sprinkle the cake with the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place it in a preheated oven. 11. Bake for about 30 minutes at 180–190°C. 12. Once the cake turns golden brown, remove it from the tray and let it cool slightly. Then cut into pieces with a sharp knife—your delicious and appetizing homemade choux pastry flatbreads are ready.
