
Kefir flatbreads

The baking is simple and quick. For me, these flatbreads are a real find! The dough is made with kefir, resulting in flatbreads that are not only very fluffy, airy, and soft, but also incredibly delicious. This recipe will come in handy for any homemaker, as the dough can be made not only with kefir but also with soured milk. And the flatbreads always turn out perfectly! They can be served for breakfast, taken outdoors, or enjoyed as a snack throughout the day. Be sure to save this recipe. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.

Prepare all the ingredients.

In a deep bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and baking soda. Mix well.

Add the butter cut into cubes.

Rub everything by hand until it turns into crumbs and pour in the kefir.

Knead a soft, slightly sticky dough. If necessary, add 1-2 tablespoons of flour during the process. Shape the dough into a ball, cover the bowl with a towel, and let it rest for 40-50 minutes.

Then divide the dough into seven parts.

Roll each piece in flour and roll out into a thin round flatbread about 15 cm in diameter, making 6 small cuts on it (as shown in the photo).

Let the flatbreads rest for a few minutes (about 10). Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and cook the flatbreads over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. They cook quickly, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Place the ready flatbreads on a paper towel to remove excess fat, and only then transfer them to a plate.
