Rye flour flatbreads
Description
These flatbreads will appeal to those who advocate healthy eating and count every calorie consumed. Rye flatbreads are high in fiber and contain fewer calories than wheat bread. I suggest baking rye flour flatbreads at home. It's really simple! 1. Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve and mix it with kefir, butter, salt, and sugar. 2. Mix rye flour with baking soda. 3. Add the flour to the kefir and cottage cheese mixture and knead the dough. 4. Cover the bowl with dough and let it rest in a warm place for 15–20 minutes. 5. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5–8 mm and cut into flatbreads. Alternatively, simply cut into diamonds or rectangles. 6. Place the flatbreads onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Prick with a fork. 7. Bake for 15–20 minutes at 200°C (390°F). If you plan to use the flatbreads for sandwiches and want to slice them, make them slightly thicker, but they will require a bit longer baking time. Serve with tea or coffee.
