
Red lentil flatbreads

Prepare all the ingredients.

Rinse the red lentils in water and drain in a sieve. Transfer to a deep bowl and soak in water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.

After that, blend the lentils together with the water in which they were soaked. You will get a thin batter, like for crêpes or pancakes.

Add vegetable oil, salt, and all the spices. Blend again in the blender.

Heat a frying pan well with a little vegetable oil. Pour in the lentil batter in portions and fry each flatbread over medium heat until golden brown. You may cover the pan with a lid.

Then flip the flatbread over and fry for about the same amount of time on the second side, this time without a lid. Repeat until you run out of dough.
