Flatbread with cheese and herbs
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. I don't use yeast in this recipe, so there's no need to wait a long time—you can start baking right away. You can use dry or fresh (frozen) herbs—any kind will work (for example, dill, parsley, spinach, green onion, etc.). I brush the baked flatbread with garlic butter, making it softer and more aromatic.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
In a bowl, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, granulated sugar, garlic powder, and mix well.
- 2
Step 2
Add the frozen herbs and grate the hard cheese on a fine grater, then mix again.
- 3
Step 3
Add lemon juice, vegetable oil, yogurt, and start kneading (add more flour or water if necessary). Then cover the bowl with dough and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 4
Step 4
After five minutes, remove the dough and divide it into 3 parts. Roll each part into a ball, press it with your hand, then roll it out into a sheet 1–1.5 centimeters thick.
- 5
Step 5
Fry each pancake in a pan with a small amount of vegetable oil (2-3 minutes on each side).
- 6
Step 6
At the same time, prepare the garlic butter: pour melted butter into a bowl, add pressed garlic, finely chopped cilantro and dill, and mix well.
- 7
Step 7
Brush the hot flatbreads with garlic butter immediately and stack them on top of each other. Serve them warm or cooled.
