50 min4 serv.20 февр. 2026 г.

Description

Children will gladly eat lazy vareniki cooked in a multicooker if you serve them with ice cream, for example, premium vanilla. You can melt butter beforehand and pour it over the vareniki on the plate, or add sour cream or thick yogurt of any fat content.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

    Prepare the listed ingredients.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Press the cottage cheese through a sieve or mash it with a fork in a deep bowl. This is very important, as large pieces of cottage cheese will remain in the dough and make the lazy vareniki look unappealing. Add a chicken egg, sugar, and salt to the bowl. Mix everything thoroughly once again.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Add the wheat flour and knead the dough, being careful not to add too much flour. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes, covered with a plastic bag, cling film, or a towel to prevent it from drying out.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Then divide the dough into several equal parts and roll them into long sausages, dusting the surface of the table with flour.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Cut each sausage-shaped dough into portioned pieces 1.5-2 cm thick. At this stage, you can freeze the pieces on a cutting board to have semi-finished products on hand.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Pour hot water into the multicooker bowl and activate the "Cooking" mode for 25–30 minutes. Close the lid and wait for the water in the bowl to boil. As soon as it boils, add the pieces of cottage cheese dough and gently stir them to prevent sticking to the bottom or clumping together. Close the lid and cook the lazy vareniki until the appliance signals completion.

Then remove them onto a plate using a slotted spoon, and serve with honey, melted butter, or sour cream. Children especially love this dish served with ice cream.
