Lazy meatballs
Description
Making lazy meatballs at home is not difficult, which is probably why they're called "lazy." There are no complicated step-by-step procedures here, yet we still end up with a wonderful dish for lunch or dinner. As a lover of all things meat, I really enjoyed this simple recipe for lazy meatballs and it has become one of my favorites. I hope you'll have the same positive experience: 1) Wash the cabbage and finely chop it. Finely dice the onion as well, then sauté both together in a skillet until the vegetables become soft. Set the vegetable mixture aside to cool for a few minutes. 2) Rinse the rice and cook until half-done, then let it cool. 3) Add the cooled onion and cabbage mixture, rice, and eggs to the ground meat. Season with salt and spices to taste. I usually use black pepper, cumin, thyme, and rosemary. 4) Shape small round meatballs from the mixture and place them on a greased baking sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to 150°C (300°F) for 15 minutes. 5) While the meatballs are cooking, mix tomato paste and sour cream into broth or water, season with salt, and gently heat over low heat. After 15 minutes, pour the warmed sauce over the meatballs and return them to the oven for another 25 minutes. Once ready, I drizzle the meatballs with extra sour cream and sprinkle with fresh herbs—this makes them even more delicious.
