Description
The recipe won't take much time. By spending this relatively short amount of time, you'll get a delicious and hearty dish to feed your whole family. At the very end of cooking, you can add a little sour cream to the sauce—this is for those who are used to cabbage rolls being prepared in a sour cream and tomato sauce. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

To prepare lazy cabbage rolls with cabbage and minced meat, we need to take young cabbage and finely chop it. If the cabbage is late-season, it should first be boiled in boiling water (about 10 minutes).
- 2
Step 2

Add the meat filling to the cabbage. You can use store-bought or homemade meat filling. I'm using store-bought 50/50 ground meat (beef-pork).
- 3
Step 3

Cut the onion into small cubes.
- 4
Step 4

Grate the peeled carrot on a grater. You can use either fine or coarse grater holes—it's up to you.
- 5
Step 5

Sauté the onion in vegetable oil, then add the carrot and simmer together until soft.
- 6
Step 6

Add the sautéed mixture to a bowl along with a little salt and spices. Mix the minced meat until uniform.
- 7
Step 7

Form patties from the resulting mince and fry them on both sides in vegetable oil.
- 8
Step 8

Transfer the cooked patties to a saucepan. Pour tomato sauce over them. Simmer for 30-40 minutes. At the very end, add salt, spices, and a little sugar to the sauce to neutralize the tomato's acidity.

Step 9

Serve lazy cabbage rolls with cabbage and minced meat at the table.
