Lazy paella
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Paella is a popular Spanish rice dish. Saffron and olive oil are essential ingredients. Paella also commonly includes various vegetables, seafood, and mushrooms. It is traditionally cooked exclusively in a frying pan, as the very name of the dish translates from Spanish as "frying pan." Today I'm offering a recipe for lazy paella—we won't strictly follow all the rules of preparing the classic dish, but instead take a simple approach: use the main ingredients, add whatever we like, and end up with a delicious meal. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel and rinse the onion, garlic, and mushrooms, and do the same with the bell pepper, making sure to remove all the seeds from it.
- 2
Step 2

Finely chop the onion and garlic.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the mushrooms into small pieces.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the sweet pepper (preferably bright red) into small cubes.
- 5
Step 5

Sauté the vegetables and mushrooms in olive oil for 5–8 minutes, stirring frequently. Add salt, paprika, and saffron.
- 6
Step 6

When a rich aroma fills the kitchen, add the rice and heat it together with the vegetables for several minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Then pour in the broth (you can also replace it with water, but the taste will not be the same), cover the pan with a lid, and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 8
Step 8

When the rice has fully absorbed the broth and become tender, the paella is ready. Open the lid carefully, as a rich aroma will immediately emerge, drawing not only your family members but also your neighbors into the kitchen!

Enjoy your meal!
