Lasagna with béchamel sauce
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Lasagna can be served not only for lunch but also prepared for a family celebration or a themed party. It's best to pre-cook the lasagna sheets so they turn out soft and tender. Choose a hard cheese that melts well, or substitute with mozzarella. If the béchamel sauce has lumps, strain it through a sieve; if it's too thick, add a little more milk. The ready dish can now be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for cooking. Wash and peel the vegetables, then rinse them.
- 2
Step 2

Finely dice the onion and celery. Grate the carrot on a coarse grater. Pour vegetable oil into a skillet, heat over medium heat, and add the vegetables. Sauté the vegetables for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3
Step 3

Add the ground meat to the pan and cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes. The meat should change color. I used a beef and pork mixture, as it turns out more tender.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the wine into the pan and cook, stirring for 7-10 minutes. The wine should completely evaporate.
- 5
Step 5

Peel the tomatoes and blend them in a blender or pass them through a meat grinder. Pour the blended tomatoes into a skillet and add tomato paste.
- 6
Step 6

Season the minced meat with salt and pepper, then pour in the water. Mix well and simmer over low heat for 30-35 minutes. Remove the pan with the minced meat from the heat.
- 7
Step 7

Pour water into a tall pot, add a little vegetable oil, salt, and bring to a boil. Add the lasagna sheets and cook for 5 minutes after the water begins to boil. Drain in a colander and let all the water drain off completely.
- 8
Step 8

For the Béchamel sauce, melt the butter in a pan and, stirring, add the flour. Fry, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Add nutmeg. Gradually pour in the hot milk while stirring. Cook over low heat until thickened, about 3 minutes. Remove the sauce from the heat.
- 10
Step 10

Pour a little sauce on the bottom of the baking dish and place the first layer of pasta sheets.
- 11
Step 11

Spread a third of the filling on top and brush with part of the sauce. Then continue layering the dish, alternating constantly: lasagna sheets, meat sauce, Béchamel sauce.
- 12
Step 12

Grate the cheese on a medium grater and completely cover the top béchamel sauce layer with it. Cover the baking dish with foil.
- 13
Step 13

Place the pan in a preheated oven and bake for 35 minutes at 180 degrees.
- 14
Step 14

Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Let the lasagna stand for 5-10 minutes, then serve.
- 15
Step 15

Serve at the table.
