Lavash in the tandoor

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Homemade lavash will always come in handy. It can be stored for a very long time, and you can use it to make all kinds of rolls, shawarma, or simply as bread. If you have a tandoor, use this recipe to bake delicious thin flatbreads—lavash.

    To prepare the lavash dough, measure one cup of clean water.

    We will need salt (non-iodized).

    And flour (preferably of the highest grade). Sift the flour through a sieve. Pour two and a half cups of flour into a bowl first.

    Add salt and water. Knead the dough. It should not stick to your hands or the bowl, so add flour in small portions as needed.

    Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

    Then divide the dough into 10-12 parts.

    And roll out each piece into a thin flatbread. The thickness of the lavash should be 2-3 mm.

    Place the lavash on a special baking cushion, spray with water, and quickly attach it to the back wall of a well-heated tandoor. Bake the lavash for 1.5–2 minutes.
