Lavash in batter
Description
Preparing a hearty dish for the road, for an afternoon snack, or even for lunch is very simple. Just buy lavash and add your favorite filling to it. With the latter, you can experiment an endless number of times. You can make it meat, mushroom, cheese, vegetable... Try and enjoy.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To prepare the dish, keep the processed cheese in the freezer for a little while. It will become firmer. It will be easier to grate it. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
- 2
Step 2

Add smoked ham meat cut into small cubes to the cheese. I did not use the skin. I added only the meat to the dish.
- 3
Step 3

Finely chop the greens. I used parsley, but you can use a mix of herbs (or any you prefer). Press the garlic through a garlic press. Add a little mayonnaise or sour cream. Mix well.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the lavash sheet into strips.
- 5
Step 5

Place 2 tablespoons of filling on the edge of the lavash. Roll it up into an envelope-shaped roll. I got 2 envelope-shaped rolls from one strip.
- 6
Step 6

You need to secure the filling well inside the lavash so it doesn’t fall out at the sides.
- 7
Step 7

These are the little envelopes we ended up with.
- 8
Step 8

Prepare the batter. To do this, mix an egg with 2–3 tbsp of milk. Add a little salt and whisk.
- 9
Step 9

Dip each little envelope into the batter. Then place it onto a hot frying pan with vegetable oil. Fry the lavash in batter on both sides (about one minute per side).
- 10
Step 10

Remove excess oil by placing the finished lavash rolls on a paper towel. That’s all.
