Lavash in a bread maker
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. This is simple and saves a lot of time, yet the result is just perfect—fluffy, soft, and nicely browned lavash. Of course, we're not talking about thin Armenian unleavened lavash, but rather Georgian-style lavash, more similar to bread. Well, enough talk—here's an easy recipe for lavash made in a bread machine, ready for your attention! Sift the flour. Warm the water and yogurt to 35–40°C. Place all ingredients into the bread machine pan in the order specified in the instructions. Turn on the bread machine and select the "Dough" setting. After about 15 minutes (or longer, depending on your machine model), a signal will indicate that kneading is complete. Remove the dough from the container and place it onto a floured surface. Let it rise for 40 minutes. Then divide the dough into portions, depending on the desired size of your lavash. Roll each portion into a patty about 1 cm thick, place them on greased baking sheets, and let them proof for 30 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200–220°C. Once baked, spray the lavash with water and cover with a clean towel. After 10 minutes, they're ready to eat—believe me, you'll need to act fast, as they'll disappear in no time. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
