Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients according to the list. Use thin lavash; it is often called Armenian lavash. Any cheese that melts well will work. I used Adyghe cheese and a hard cheese similar to "Rossiysky".
- 2
Step 2

For the filling, grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the lavash into rectangles. I got 12 pieces. Kitchen scissors are handy for cutting.
- 4
Step 4

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the lavash so it doesn't turn out dry. You may replace the mayonnaise with natural yogurt at your discretion.
- 5
Step 5

Spread grated cheese over the entire surface of the lavash. You can add grated boiled sausage, ham, or sautéed mushrooms. Each time, you’ll get a new flavor.
- 6
Step 6

Fold in the edges on both sides and roll the lavash into a roll.
- 7
Step 7

Similarly, do the same with the remaining lavash and cheese.
- 8
Step 8

Beat an egg in a deep bowl. I don't add salt because the cheese is already salty. Dip each piece into the egg mixture.
- 9
Step 9

Place directly on the rack in the air fryer basket. You can line the rack with parchment paper.
- 10
Step 10

Bake at 200 degrees for 4-5 minutes. They should brown nicely.
- 11
Step 11

Lavash with cheese in the air fryer is ready.
- 12
Step 12

Serve immediately while hot, while the cheese is still soft and stretchy.
