    Gather all the ingredients on the table. Slightly warm the milk in a saucepan to a temperature of about 36 degrees.

    Add the yeast. Mix well. Add another 2-3 tablespoons of flour and mix again. Let this yeast mixture rest for 20 minutes to rise.

    Sift all the flour into a bowl, add salt and baking soda. Mix well.

    Pour the yeast mixture, which by this time has already risen (it has increased in volume and acquired a foamy texture).
