
Sauerkraut with pork
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Pork stewed with cabbage, apple puree, and onions is a hearty and beloved dish from childhood. The finished dish can be served at the table.

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Lightly season the pork with salt and pepper.

2. Heat a large pot over medium heat, add oil, then add two or three pork ribs. Sear the pork on one side for about 2 minutes. Turn the pork over and cook for another 2 minutes. Repeat with the remaining meat. Turn off the heat, transfer the meat to a plate and set aside.

3. Add apple puree to the saucepan and mix well. Drain about half of the juice from the sauerkraut. Add to the skillet and mix with the apple puree.

4. Place the pork on top of the sauerkraut and apple mixture.

5. Cut the onion into 4 parts. Place the onion on top of the pork. Cover with a lid and bake in the oven for one and a half hours.

6. Check the liquid level and add broth if necessary to prevent the dish from becoming dry. Cover with a lid and continue simmering for another hour. Remove the lid and simmer for an additional 30 minutes. Let it cool slightly and serve.
