1. This drink is especially good in hot weather. Bread kvass is very easy to prepare at home, but it will take several days.

2. Slice the black bread and toast it in the oven to make croutons. It's better to make them yourself rather than buying ready-made ones, as this way you can control the toasting process.

3. Boil water using a ratio of 2 liters of water per 100 grams of dried bread (minimum 1.5 liters). Put the dried bread into the boiling water and leave it for 4-5 hours. After that, add sugar and dry yeast, cover the container (preferably with a lid), and place it in a warm spot for several days until fully fermented.

4. Usually, this bread kvass matures in homemade conditions by the third day. We strain it, discard the bread and the resulting sediment (this will be our starter for the next time), and pour the kvass into jars or bottles.
