
Honey kvass
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. This is a classic recipe for making mead kvass. Store the kvass in the refrigerator. The listed ingredients will yield about nine liters of refreshing beverage. Additionally, using the starter leftover from the first batch, you can make several more batches of kvass. Cut the bread into pieces and dry in the oven until a light, black crust forms.

Place the breadcrumbs at the bottom of a large pot.

Dissolve the honey in a small amount of water.

Pour the honey liquid over the yeast.

Mix until smooth.

Add yeast with honey, raisins, and sugar to the breadcrumbs.

Pour warm water over, cover with gauze and then with a towel (to keep away insects). Place on the balcony in the sun. For full readiness, the kvass should stand for 1-2 days; however, it needs to be constantly tasted.

Remove the pieces of bread and place them in a jar—this will be the starter for the next batch of kvass. Strain the ready kvass through cheesecloth.
