
Chicken and potato kurnik
Description
The baking is simple and quick. This pie is enough to feed everyone. The recipe is very straightforward, but the result exceeds expectations. Traditionally, rice is added to kurник instead of potatoes, so feel free to experiment. If you decide to add mushrooms as well, you won't be disappointed.

Make a starter for the dough. Mix warm water with yeast and add a little sugar, let it rise.

In a bowl, mix the flour with the margarine until crumbly. Then add the sponge and knead the dough. Cover with a lid and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Bring salted water to a boil in a saucepan, add the potatoes and cook for 2 minutes, then drain in a colander.

Finely chop the fillet and sauté in butter together with the onion until cooked through.

Divide the dough into 2 parts. Roll out the larger part and place it in a baking pan.

Place the filling. First, the potatoes, then the meat, and on top, place pieces of butter.

Roll out the remaining dough and cover the filling, sealing the edges. Make a hole in the center, brush the top of the pie with beaten egg yolk. Let it sit for 20 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the kurник for 25 minutes.
