
Simple Kurник (original recipe)
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. Kurник is an excellent pie that includes many ingredients. Thanks to its composition, it's very filling. You can make the pie even more aromatic by adding garlic and herbs (or your favorite spices). Be sure to try making it at home. Serve with tea or coffee.

We start by preparing the main ingredients.

In a separate container, mix kefir, salt, baking soda, and melted butter. Mix thoroughly until smooth.

Gradually add the sifted flour to the dough, stirring. Knead the dough.

Knead the dough until it becomes elastic and smooth. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for one hour.

While the dough is rising, let's prepare the filling. Rinse the chicken fillet under water and cut it into small pieces. Finely chop the onion and slice the potatoes into small wedges. Combine everything in a separate bowl, mix well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Take out the dough and divide it into two parts. Roll out one part into a flat layer and place it at the bottom of the baking pan, remembering to form edges around the sides. Evenly spread the pie filling over the entire surface. Carefully arrange pieces of butter over the filling.

Cover the filling with the second layer of dough, sealing the edges. Brush the surface with a mixture of yolk and egg. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, bake the pie for 50 minutes.
