
Pancake Kurnik
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. Usually kurnik is made from yeast dough, but a kurnik made from pancakes is no less tasty. A tender and juicy kurnik will definitely please the whole family. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Step 1

1. Bake pancakes according to any recipe. Finely chop the chicken and the onion. Fry the chicken with half of the onion. Season with salt and pepper, add 1 tablespoon of sour cream and cook for another 15 minutes.

2. Sauté the mushrooms with the remaining onion.

3. Mix the minced eggs with the sliced dill.

4. Line the removable pan with foil and butter it. Place a pancake in the pan. Line the pan with pancakes so that they hang over the edges. Place another 1‑2 pancakes at the bottom.

5. Spread with sour cream and lay the mushrooms with onions. Place 2 pancakes on top, and on them – chicken with onions in sour cream. Cover with another 2 pancakes on top.

6. Press down, spread with sour cream and lay a layer of eggs. Cover with another 2 pancakes. Close the kurnik with the bottom pancakes that overhung the edges of the mold.

7. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in the oven at 180 °C for about 25 minutes.
