Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Dukkah is an Egyptian spice blend made from a mixture of herbs, nuts, and spices. The finished dish can be served at the table.

    1. Prepare chicken kebabs. Prepare 24 skewers. If using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before using. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Mix balsamic vinegar and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until the mixture is reduced by almost half, for 10 to 15 minutes. Let it cool. In a small bowl, mix mustard and olive oil, season with salt and ground black pepper. Coat the chicken with the mustard mixture. Combine Dukkah seasoning and grated cheese in a shallow dish and mix well.

    3. Cut the Brussels sprouts in half. Mince the garlic. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with oil over medium heat, add the garlic and sauté, stirring, until lightly golden. Transfer to a bowl. Reduce the heat to low and add the sprouts in a single layer. Sprinkle with pine nuts and season with salt to taste. Cook the sprouts until they develop a crispy, golden crust, about 15 minutes. Transfer the sprouts to a bowl, add the garlic mixture and the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of butter to the skillet, and cook over medium heat, stirring, until the pine nuts turn lightly golden, about 1 minute. Pour the mixture over the sprouts and season with ground black pepper. Serve the chicken skewers with salad.
