Chicken burger
Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. From my recipe you will learn what tandoori is and it can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Both tandoori paste and dry (powder) tandoori mix will work, but keep in mind that the paste is more aromatic and spicy.
- 2
Step 2

2. Combine the chicken mince with the paste, lemon juice, green onion, and spices (salt, black pepper, cumin, cayenne). Mix well. If the mince is very dry, you can add one egg per 450 g of mince.
- 3
Step 3

3. The minced meat is ready; it is very aromatic and spicy. The spices have tinted the meat a reddish color.
- 4
Step 4

4. Shape into a large round patty. Pan-fry it in vegetable oil until cooked through, 3–4 minutes per side.
- 5
Step 5

5. Make the sauce: combine plain yogurt with lemon juice, finely chopped ginger (peel it first), fresh herbs, and ground caraway. Salt to taste if desired; I did not add any.
- 6
Step 6

6. Cut the bun in half lengthwise. In the fat from frying the patty, toast both halves of the bun on the inside. Begin assembling the burger. Place the bottom half of the bun on a plate.
- 7
Step 7

7. Next — the chicken cutlet.
- 8
Step 8

8. Pour the sauce over the top.
- 9
Step 9

9. Place a couple of cucumber rings (fresh or pickled), a couple of thinly sliced salad onion slices (white or red), and herbs.
- 10
Step 10

10. Cover with the second half of the bun. Done!
- 11
Step 11

11. Hot, fragrant, and spicy "tandoori" burger is ready!
