Chicken meatballs with zucchini in white sauce
Description
Chicken meatballs with zucchini in white sauce – a wonderful summer dish. Simple, delicious, tender, and diet-friendly. I highly recommend giving it a try.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Soak the white bread roll in cold boiled water. After 5-7 minutes, squeeze out the water. Peel and wash half an onion. Wash the chicken fillet. Pass the chicken fillet, bread, and onion through a meat grinder.
- 2
Step 2

Season the minced meat and mix thoroughly. You can blend it with a blender for a more uniform consistency.
- 3
Step 3

Form round balls from the prepared minced meat and place them into a saucepan with boiling water. Cook the meatballs for 20-25 minutes until done.
- 4
Step 4

Peel one onion and one carrot, wash and cut into random pieces. Place in a non-stick saucepan or skillet.
- 5
Step 5

Pour refined sunflower oil into a saucepan and fry the vegetables over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring. You can add a little broth in which the meatballs were boiled, so that the vegetables simmer rather than fry. This will make the dish more diet-friendly.
- 6
Step 6

Then add the chopped zucchini to the pot with the onion and carrots.
- 7
Step 7

Add a little more broth and continue simmering the vegetables until cooked. Season with salt to taste.
- 8
Step 8

Prepare a white sauce. Place a piece of butter and flour into a pan. Over low heat, melt the butter and mix it with the flour until smooth and lump-free.
- 9
Step 9

Gradually pour in the milk and mix with the butter and flour. Add a glass of broth from the meatballs, season with salt to taste, and, stirring constantly, bring the sauce to a thick consistency. You can replace the milk with cream, but then there is no need to add butter.
- 10
Step 10

Place the meatballs into the white sauce.
- 11
Step 11

Cover the pan with the meatballs in sauce and heat for 5-6 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

Place the meatballs in sauce into the pot with the vegetables and mix.
- 13
Step 13

Chicken meatballs with zucchini in white sauce are ready. Serve for lunch or dinner.
