Chicken hearts with zucchini
Description
A very inexpensive, yet delicious dish made from readily available ingredients. Healthy, tender, and satisfyingly filling. Women probably won't need a side dish with this meal, but for men you could boil some potatoes. In my family, we love offal, so I frequently use this recipe for chicken hearts with zucchini. Here's how to prepare chicken hearts with zucchini: 1. Rinse the hearts thoroughly, trim off excess fat, and remove membranes and blood vessels. 2. Fry the hearts in vegetable oil in a skillet, covered, for about 15 minutes. Transfer them to a separate dish. 3. Peel the onion and carrot. Finely chop the onion and cut the carrot into small cubes. Sauté until lightly golden. 4. Add the hearts to the onion and carrot, then cook for another 20 minutes, covered. 5. Cut the zucchini into small cubes and add to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. 6. Mix sour cream with mustard and pour it into the skillet with the hearts and vegetables. Simmer for 15 minutes. This is a basic recipe—you can modify it as you like, adding different spices or other vegetables. Experiment and enjoy both the cooking process and the delicious result.
