Chicken hearts with buckwheat
Description
Ordinary pasta with cutlets won't impress anyone these days, so when I want something unusual yet delicious, I prepare chicken hearts with buckwheat at home. Of course, I sometimes change the side dish, but everything turns out tastiest with buckwheat—at least that's what my husband believes, and I completely agree. I think it's not difficult to find offal in stores, and they're quite affordable, so another advantage of this dish is that it won't hurt your wallet. Otherwise, everything is very simple: cook the buckwheat, simmer the hearts in a delicate sauce, then serve everything together. Easy and straightforward—this recipe for chicken hearts with buckwheat will make your dinner delicious and delight the whole family.
Instructions

Step 1

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, enough to reach a depth of 1 cm, and place it over heat. As soon as the oil heats up, add the hearts and fry for a couple of minutes, then pour in water until the hearts are completely submerged. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Meanwhile, peel and slice the onion into half-rings.

Step 3

After half an hour, add the onion to the pan with the hearts, cover with a lid, and simmer for another 30 minutes.

Step 4

While the hearts are cooking, we can prepare our side dish. Pour the buckwheat into a hot saucepan, and toast it well. Then pour boiling water over the buckwheat, drain it, and pour fresh boiling water into the saucepan so that it rises almost one centimeter above the buckwheat. Add salt and cook until the liquid has completely evaporated. Then wrap the saucepan in a towel to keep the buckwheat warm.

Now cut the tomatoes in half and rub their flesh on a fine grater to make a puree.

Step 6

Place the resulting mixture into a frying pan, add salt and spices, sugar, mix everything and simmer for another 15 minutes.

Step 7

In a separate bowl, mix water and starch, then pour this mixture into the hearts and simmer until the sauce thickens sufficiently.

Step 8

Now it's simple: place the buckwheat into individual serving plates, pour the sauce over it, and put the heart-shaped cutlets beside it. That's it—dinner is ready. Enjoy your meal, everyone!
