Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Slice the onion into half-moons and slice the garlic into thin slices.
- 3
Step 3

In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil, add the onion and garlic, and sauté over medium heat.
- 4
Step 4

Rinse the chicken hearts and remove any excess membranes and blood vessels. Add the hearts to a skillet and fry over medium heat for 7–8 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Meanwhile, prepare a zesty sauce—mix soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, black pepper, and chili pepper. We don't need salt here—the soy sauce is already salty.
- 6
Step 6

Add the sauce to the skillet, stir, and simmer over medium heat until the liquid has evaporated.
- 7
Step 7

During frying, the hearts will become coated in a fragrant, glossy glaze.
- 8
Step 8

Place the finished hearts on a plate. You can sprinkle them with sesame seeds and chopped herbs on top.
