At least once a month, I always try to cook chicken hearts for my family, most often in the way shown in this recipe—with vegetables. This is probably the simplest way to prepare chicken hearts—no fuss at all, everything is easy and quick. The resulting dish is delicious, satisfying, and healthy. So, here's how to make it. The finished dish can be served at the table.

Prepare the ingredients: peel and wash the vegetables, thoroughly rinse the hearts under running water and cut them in half.

In a skillet, melt a piece of butter and add the prepared chicken hearts. Fry for about 5 minutes over medium heat.

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, press the garlic through a garlic press or finely chop, and slice the onion into half-rings. Place all of this into another skillet with heated oil and sauté over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.

Add the lightly sautéed vegetables to the chicken hearts, along with finely chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Reduce the heat.

Simmer covered until the hearts are fully cooked, about 15-20 minutes over low heat. Add a little boiled water if necessary. Serve hot. ;)
