
Chicken legs in citrus marinade without flatbreads
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Juicy Mexican-style chicken with citrus notes, corn tortillas, and beans will satisfy hunger on a summer evening. Serve hot.

1. Crush the garlic. Cut the onion into 4 pieces. Squeeze juice from the lemons and limes. In a bowl, combine olive oil, orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix all ingredients together.

2. Place the chicken legs into a bowl or a large resealable plastic bag, add the onion quarters and squeezed lime and lemon pieces.

3. Pour the prepared marinade over the top and gently mix. Cover with plastic wrap (if using a bowl) and marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably longer. Stir several times during marination.

4. Preheat the oven. Place the chicken legs in a skillet. Braise for 25 minutes, then turn them over and braise on the other side until golden brown. Remove the skillet from the oven.

5. Wrap the flatbreads in foil and warm in the oven.

6. Serve the chicken legs with warm tortillas, pico de gallo, beans, guacamole, sour cream, or salsa.
