
Chicken legs with potatoes and mushrooms

If possible, be sure to add thyme, preferably fresh. Its aroma makes the dish very appetizing.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Peel the potatoes, rinse, dry, and cut into quarters. Thinly slice the onion. Arrange the potatoes in a greased baking dish in a single layer and sprinkle with the onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Rinse the chicken drumsticks and pat them dry. Place them on top of the potatoes, season with salt and pepper. Put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake until a light crust forms.

Remove the top skin from the mushrooms and slice them thickly. Take the dish out of the oven and place the mushrooms on top of the chicken. Lightly season with salt and pepper, add thyme, and place a couple of bay leaves deep into the dish, onto the potatoes. Bake until the mushrooms are golden brown.

Remove the pan from the oven and pour over sour cream seasoned to taste with salt and mixed with grated garlic.

Bake until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are tender. You can brown the top under the broiler if desired.
