
Chicken gizzards with mushrooms
Description
If you simmer the gizzards for a long time, they become very tender. Gizzards go wonderfully well with mushrooms, and with sour cream it's simply magical—almost reminiscent of a delicious vol-au-vent! Be sure to try making this dish, and you'll see that offal can be truly tasty.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

Cut the gizzards into several pieces so that the pieces are not too large. Place the gizzards in a pan with heated vegetable oil and lightly fry them first.

Then pour in water and simmer covered for 50 minutes. After that, remove the lid and simmer for another 10 minutes to evaporate the remaining liquid.

Finely chop the onion.

Also cut the mushrooms into small pieces.

Sauté the mushrooms together with the onion until soft.

The gizzards have simmered and become completely soft.

Transfer the sautéed mushrooms to the pan with the gizzards. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
