Chicken meatballs in tomato sauce
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Tender meatballs are simmered in tomato sauce with vegetables. The specified amount of ingredients yields approximately 12–14 meatballs and plenty of sauce. You can serve the dish on its own, but it will be tastier and more nutritious with a side dish. As a side, I recommend mashed potatoes, rice, buckwheat, or a vegetable salad. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.

Step 2

Rinse the chicken fillet and pat it dry. You can mince it using a meat grinder; I prefer using a blender. Add salt and your favorite spices to the prepared minced meat.
- 3
Step 3

Mix thoroughly and shape into small meatballs, about the size of a walnut, with your hands.
- 4
Step 4

In a skillet, heat the oil, add the diced onion and grated carrot. Sauté the vegetables until soft.
- 5
Step 5

Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, and minced garlic.
- 6
Step 6

Sauté everything together for no more than 2-3 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Pour in the required amount of water and adjust the seasoning with salt.
- 8
Step 8

Place the meatballs into the sauce, cover with a lid, and once it comes to a boil, simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.

Step 9

Chicken meatballs in tomato sauce are ready.
