Chicken Burgers
Description
Suitable for both special occasions and everyday meals. A chicken burger is tender and lighter than a beef one. Chicken also cooks faster. Choose spices, sauces, and burger toppings to your taste. The classic side for a burger is french fries. Can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Grind the chicken fillet into mince. Then add chopped green onion, salt and pepper to taste, and chicken seasoning (optional) to the meat. Mix well. If you like, add an egg and a couple of tablespoons of breadcrumbs.

Step 2

2. With wet hands, shape large round patties from the ground meat. I always end up with more patties than buns :)

Step 3

3. Fry the chicken patties over medium-high heat in vegetable oil on both sides, 5–6 minutes per side.

Step 4

4. Cut the buns in half (if they are not pre-sliced) and warm them in a hot oven for a few minutes. You can skip heating the buns, but I think they taste better this way.

Step 5

5. Spread one half of the bun with your chosen sauce or sauces. On the other half of the bun, place the fried chicken patty, then on top of it—a lettuce leaf, onion rings, tomato slices, and fresh or pickled cucumber slices. Cover with the other half of the bun. If desired, secure the burger with a long wooden skewer.
