Chicken thighs with oranges
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Preparing chicken thighs according to my recipe will be easy. Why did I choose the combination of chicken with oranges? Very simple! Everyone's been talking non-stop about teriyaki chicken. After finding out that orange juice is actually an ingredient in this sauce, I came up with a plan, which I'm now sharing with you. Serve hot.

Step 1

Rinse the chicken thighs. Wash the oranges. Grate the zest from one of the oranges. Place the chicken thighs in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Squeeze juice from the half-orange that was zested. Add a few tablespoons of sour cream and the zest. Marinate in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Step 2

After the marinating time has passed, heat a frying pan. Pour in vegetable oil and place the chicken thighs in the pan. Cut the second orange in half, add the slices to the skillet.

Step 3

So, after searing the chicken on one side, turn it over and sear the other side. Then add the remaining orange slices, reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer. Alternatively, you can transfer the dish to the oven to braise or bake. Cook for about half an hour.

Step 4

While braising (or baking), you can baste the chicken with water mixed with orange juice. Sprinkle the cooked thighs with fresh herbs. Enjoy the wonderful aroma of chicken combined with oranges!
