Chicken Gravy
Description
Chicken gravy is always delicious. And when prepared according to this simple recipe, it turns out incredibly tender, even velvety. It's rich with a subtle creamy flavor. Children especially love this gravy because it's not spicy, and it's perfect for soaking up with a piece of bread. The chicken pieces in this gravy become very tender and juicy. In my family, we usually serve this gravy with boiled rice or pasta. Now I'll tell you how.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings.
- 2
Step 2

Pour vegetable oil into a pot or a pan with high sides, add onion. Place the pan on the stove and sauté the onion.
- 3
Step 3

Wash the chicken fillet and cut it into small pieces: either strips or cubes.
- 4
Step 4

When the onion becomes translucent, add the sliced chicken fillet, mix well, and continue frying.
- 5
Step 5

Fry, stirring, until the chicken fillet turns white.
- 6
Step 6

Add a glass of water to the meat with onions.
- 7
Step 7

We also add the cream. Mix it in and simmer the dish over low heat for about 10-15 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

In a small amount of cold water, mix the flour. Stir well to avoid lumps.
- 9
Step 9

Add salt and pepper to the chicken with onions. You can also add dried herbs—dill, parsley, basil, or a mixture of Provence herbs—basically, your choice. Then, while constantly stirring, slowly pour in the diluted flour mixture.

Step 10

Simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens. Don't forget to stir it occasionally.
