Chicken liver in sour cream sauce
Description
Chicken liver is easy to cook, especially when stewed. I suggest you try preparing liver in a sour cream sauce. To make chicken liver in sour cream sauce, we'll need low-fat sour cream (10-15%), carrot, onion, and a blend of spices: cardamom, paprika, and others. See the recipe below.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, rinse the chicken liver and dry it.
- 2
Step 2

Grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
- 3
Step 3

Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté a garlic clove in it. Then discard the garlic—this will give the oil a pleasant aroma.
- 4
Step 4

In the same oil, fry the pieces of liver until golden brown.
- 5
Step 5

Set aside the fried liver, and while we'll deal with the vegetables.
- 6
Step 6

Sauté the carrots with the onion in the same skillet for about 5 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Then add chicken liver and spices to the vegetables. I recommend adding cardamom, allspice, paprika, or curry. Mix well.
- 8
Step 8

Add the sour cream, mix and bring to a boil. If the sour cream is very fatty, you can dilute it with water.
- 9
Step 9

Reduce the heat and simmer for another 5 minutes with the lid closed.
- 10
Step 10

Serve the ready chicken liver in sour cream sauce with fresh herbs, and you can prepare any light side dish.
