Chicken breast in a coat with cheese topping
Description
To be honest, I've never been a big fan of chicken breast and always preferred cooking other parts of the chicken. Breast meat always seemed too dry to me, but after preparing it with a coating of potatoes and tomatoes, topped with cheese, I fell in love with this ingredient and this dish! Now chicken breast is a frequent guest at my table. Let me share the recipe with you.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Rinse the chicken breast under running water and dry it with paper towels.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the chicken breast in half lengthwise and lightly pound each slice on both sides. The slices should not be too thin—about 1 cm thick. Place the chicken breasts into a heatproof baking dish.
- 3
Step 3

Grate the potatoes on a fine grater and spread them evenly over the chicken breasts.
- 4
Step 4

Slice the tomato into thin rings and place them on top of the potato.
- 5
Step 5

The next layer is onion rings.
- 6
Step 6

Generously spread mayonnaise on top. Place exactly 1 large tablespoon directly on each. This will make the topping and the chicken breast itself incredibly juicy.
- 7
Step 7

At the end, generously sprinkle everything with cheese grated on a fine grater and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes (temperature 180 degrees). Bake until the chicken breast and potatoes are fully cooked.

Step 8

That's it, the chicken breast in a creamy cheese coating is ready! Be sure to serve it hot, garnished with fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
