Chicken breast stewed in milk
Description
The recipe won't take much time. My long-time acquaintance shared with me her method of preparing chicken breast stewed in milk. Usually, my chicken breast would turn out dry and stringy, except for those times when I cooked it in sauce. But when I visited her, I noticed her chicken breast was delicious, aromatic, and very juicy. So I couldn't miss the chance to learn her recipe. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how simple it is to prepare. Now you'll know too. Serve hot.

Step 1

We will thoroughly wash the chicken breast, carefully separate the fillets from the bones, and remove the membrane. Next, rub each chicken fillet with salt, vegetable oil, and spices. Choose spices based on what you have at home. I used khmeli-suneli and also added some ground black pepper. Let the chicken breasts marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

While the chicken breasts are marinating, bring the milk to a boil. You can simmer it in a deep frying pan or in a saucepan with a thick bottom. I poured the milk into the frying pan and transferred the chicken breasts there. The milk should completely cover the chicken fillets.

Step 3

Next, place a weight on the chicken breasts and cover with a lid. Let it simmer over low heat for about 10-15 minutes.

Step 4

We use the milk left over from simmering chicken breasts to prepare the sauce. First, mix flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl, then add some cold milk and stir well. Bring the milk from the chicken to a boil, then gradually add it in small portions to the milk-flour mixture, stirring constantly. Thicken this mixture over low heat for several minutes.

Step 5

Cut the chicken breast into pieces, pour sauce over it, and serve with a side dish, or simply slice it and make a sandwich.
