
Chicken in sauce
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Chicken in "Béchamel" sauce is an excellent way to serve very simple chicken fillet. You can also add any vegetables to this dish according to your taste, as well as spices and seasonings. Serve hot.

1. Classic chicken in "Béchamel" sauce recipe starts with the sauce. Melt the butter in a small saucepan or pot without letting it burn.

2. Gradually add flour to the completely melted butter in several stages, mixing thoroughly.

3. Slightly sauté the flour until golden. Meanwhile, warm the milk without bringing it to a boil. Gradually pour it in a thin stream, stirring constantly, and bring the sauce to a smooth, lump-free consistency.

4. Stirring, simmer the sauce over low heat for about 2-3 minutes. It should not boil (to prevent boiling, you can periodically remove the sauce from the heat). Once the creamy sauce reaches the desired consistency, remove it from the heat.

5. Now the recipe for chicken in "Béchamel" sauce moves on to the second stage. Wash the chicken breasts, dry them, and cut them up. You can cut them into small cubes or long strips. Place the fillets at the bottom of a heatproof baking dish (you can lightly grease the dish with oil beforehand). Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add chicken spices or dried herbs if desired.

6. Grate the cheese on a medium or coarse grater. Season the sauce with salt to taste, if desired, and add a pinch of white pepper.

7. Pour the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle cheese on top. If desired, add sliced potatoes, zucchini, or other vegetables to the baking dish. Place the dish in a preheated oven and bake for at least 25–30 minutes. Then check the dish for doneness and, if necessary, return to the oven for a little longer.
