Chicken with tangerines
Description
The recipe won't take much time. It's actually quite simple and quick to prepare, yet the meat turns out very tender, delicious, and juicy—definitely worthy of even a festive table. The bright fruity notes add a special tenderness and a slightly piquant but pleasant flavor; I recommend giving it a try. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use any part of the chicken; I'm using a thigh.
- 2
Step 2

Chop the chicken into pieces and place in a deep bowl or plate.
- 3
Step 3

For the marinade, grate the zest of one mandarin on a fine grater and squeeze out its juice. Add grated ginger root and heat the mixture in the microwave for about one minute. Add minced garlic, salt, spices, and soy sauce.
- 4
Step 4

Add the marinade to the chicken, mix thoroughly, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Line a baking dish with foil, grease it with oil, and place the prepared marinated chicken in it.
- 6
Step 6

Add the segments of the remaining tangerines and the roughly chopped onion.
- 7
Step 7

Bake the dish at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. Chicken with tangerines is ready!
- 8
Step 8

Place the chicken on a serving platter, add the roasted onions and tangerine segments. Pour over the accumulated juices and garnish with fresh herbs.
