Chicken in mustard sauce with asparagus
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I'm used to frying chicken in soy sauce. But this recipe caught my attention, so I decided to try making a piquant mustard sauce and didn't regret it! To prepare chicken with mustard sauce and asparagus, you'll need two chicken breasts, asparagus (fresh or frozen), and a grill pan (preferable, but not mandatory). The chicken turns out juicier and more golden brown when cooked on a grill pan. Be sure to check it. The dish is ready to serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- 3
Step 3

Pound the chicken with a rolling pin or meat mallet through plastic wrap (or a plastic bag). The meat will absorb the spices and become evenly thin.
- 4
Step 4

This yields two pieces of chicken breast of medium thickness.
- 5
Step 5

Cook the chicken on a grill pan until done.
- 6
Step 6

Let the cooked chicken rest so it can absorb its own juices. Do not cut it immediately after taking it out of the heat.
- 7
Step 7

Meanwhile, boil the asparagus. Place it in boiling salted water.
- 8
Step 8

Boil for 3-4 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Then immediately place the boiled asparagus into ice water so the vegetable remains crisp and does not lose its color.
- 10
Step 10

Now it's time to prepare the sauce. Mix the cream, mustard, and herbs.
- 11
Step 11

Mix well and place over low heat.
- 12
Step 12

Boil until thickened. The finished mustard sauce will reduce in volume, this is normal. Do not be alarmed.
- 13
Step 13

Serve the chicken with mustard sauce and asparagus, pouring the sauce over the fillets. Delicious with red wine.
