Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Wash and peel the potatoes (young potatoes can be left in their skins), then cut into small cubes. Place half of them into an ovenproof dish. Arrange the cubed fillet evenly on top.

2. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add chopped bacon, a handful of green onions, and one-third of the grated cheese.

3. Place the second half of the potatoes on top. Add salt, pepper, half of the remaining cheese and bacon, and herbs. Pour cream over the top, add a little butter on top. Cover the dish with foil and put it in the oven.

4. Bake for about an hour, then carefully remove the foil, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake for another 20 minutes.
