
Chicken stewed in kefir
Description
Since chicken meat cooks very quickly, you won't spend much time preparing this dish. I cook it in a saucepan; if you have a small cauldron (kazan), it's better to use it. I serve this chicken with boiled rice, or mashed potatoes.

1. Pour melted and clarified butter and heat it well. Peel ginger root and garlic, grate them finely, and add a tablespoon of each.

2. Peel and dice the onion, place it in a pot and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

3. Wash the chicken meat (fillet, deboned pieces, or any other boneless pieces) and cut into small pieces.

4. Place the meat into the pot with the onions and mix, sauté for 10 minutes.

5. Pour in a glass of water, add all the spices, and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.

6. Transfer the chicken pieces to a plate.

7. Pour kefir into a saucepan, season with salt and pepper to taste (if needed), and mix.

8. Return the chicken pieces to the pot with the kefir, add strips of fresh ginger root, cover with a lid, and simmer for 20 minutes.

9. Serve the dish hot, garnished with coriander and green chili pepper.
