African-style chicken with apples

Description

Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with cumin, turmeric, chili powder, and salt in a resealable plastic bag. Add the chicken and shake well. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5 minutes on each side. Transfer the chicken to a serving dish. Sauté apples and dates in the skillet for 1 minute. Sprinkle with the remaining teaspoon of cinnamon and stir. Place the apples and dates over the chicken. Serve warm.
