Chicken with quince
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Anticipating some concerns, I would like to note that chicken with quince will not turn out overly sweet; on the contrary, the quince will perfectly complement the flavor of the meat and impart its wonderful aroma. This dish can even be served at a festive table, as it looks absolutely impressive. The ready dish can be served.

Step 1

1. To make the chicken juicy and flavorful, it should be marinated in advance. To do this, peel and press the garlic, then mix it with liquid honey (if the honey is crystallized, gently warm it in a water bath). Wash the chicken and dry it thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and lightly coat with vegetable oil. Then add the garlic and honey mixture, spreading it all over the chicken. Let the chicken marinate for at least 45–60 minutes so it can absorb the flavors properly.

2. Meanwhile, you can wash and peel the potatoes. You may choose not to add them if desired, making the simple quince and chicken recipe even simpler. However, the potatoes turn out absolutely delicious in this version, plus you won't need to think about a side dish.

Step 3

3. Quince should also be washed and cut into small slices.

Step 4

4. Quince chicken at home can be prepared in two ways - stuffed or simply baked together. Each of these options has its own unique touch, and it's worth trying both. In this case, sliced and slightly salted potatoes and quince are placed on foil next to the chicken.

Step 5

5. Now you can wrap the chicken in a foil packet and place it in a preheated oven for about 1.5 hours.

Step 6

6. Then you can carefully open the foil and brown the chicken. For extra crispiness, periodically baste the chicken with the juice. Serve the dish immediately once the chicken is nicely roasted.
