Description

This excellent recipe for German-style chicken suggests stuffing the chicken with quite unusual ingredients: noodles, liver, mushrooms, and onion. In principle, the combination itself is fairly standard, but personally, I've never encountered such a mix in a chicken stuffing before. But now, having prepared this amazing dish several times, I can assure you that the chicken turns out incredibly tasty and extremely filling. Guests enthusiastically praise my cooking skills and try to guess what I've put inside. Now I'd like to share my experience with you and tell you how to make German-style chicken—I think you'll appreciate it just as much. 1) First, wash the chicken and let it dry slightly. Then thoroughly rub it all over with salt, pepper, basil, and nutmeg, and place it in the refrigerator for now. 2) Now let's prepare the stuffing. Cook the noodles, and in the meantime, chop the onion and sauté it in a pan with some oil. Add the liver, cut into small pieces, and cook over low heat for 3–5 minutes. Chop the mushrooms and add them to the pan, along with 3–4 tablespoons of water, and simmer for 3 minutes. Then add the cooked noodles, mix everything together, season with salt and spices, and turn off the heat. 3) Once the stuffing has cooled down, fill the chicken cavity with it and carefully sew up the opening. Then coat the chicken with butter and wrap it tightly in foil so that the juices don't leak out during cooking. 4) Place the chicken in a preheated oven at 220°C (428°F) and bake for 70 minutes. That's it! The chicken turns out incredibly juicy and delicious. Transfer it to a festive serving platter and bring it to the table. Enjoy your meal!
