Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the chicken fillet under cold water and cut into small pieces, sprinkle with salt and pepper, mix well.

Step 2

Now it is necessary to coat the sliced fillet in breadcrumbs. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and sear the fillet over high heat until golden brown. Then reduce the heat, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer for another 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

While the chicken is simmering, we'll prepare the vegetables. Slice the onion and pepper into half-rings, slice the mushrooms, and cut the tomatoes into cubes. Before chopping the tomatoes, pour boiling water over them and remove the skin.

Step 4

Transfer the chicken to another dish, and place the sliced onions in the pan, sautéing until translucent. Then add mushrooms, peppers, and tomatoes, cooking until any excess liquid has evaporated.

Step 5

Then add sour cream, cognac or wine, and mix thoroughly. Simmer covered for another 5 minutes. When the vegetables are ready, place the pieces of chicken onto a plate and add the vegetable ragout. Serve with any side dish.
