So, pass the red onion through a meat grinder and squeeze it slightly. Pour the chopped walnuts into a bowl and add the ground onion to them.

Now, regarding lavashana: nowadays you can easily find it at any market, but if you can't, it can be readily replaced with any sour sauce—you'll need 3-4 tablespoons of sauce. In my case, I used barberry sauce, so I added it to the bowl with the other ingredients and mixed everything thoroughly.
