Chicken on salt in a multicooker
Description
This recipe won't take much time. I think each of you has at least once cooked or heard about this way of preparing chicken, as our mothers and even grandmothers used to bake chicken this way. But I decided to try cooking salt-baked chicken in a multicooker at home, and my little helper, as expected, did a great job. The cooking principle is the same as in the oven: pour salt, place the chicken on top, wait for about an hour, and enjoy an amazing result. With this simple recipe for salt-baked chicken in a multicooker, the meat turns out incredibly tender and juicy, while the chicken gets a delicious, golden crust. Served on the table, this dish looks absolutely stunning. 1) First, thoroughly wash the chicken on all sides and dry it with a paper towel. 2) Then generously coat the chicken inside and out with olive oil and rub it with your favorite spice mix. 3) Now line the multicooker pot with parchment paper, making sure the edges reach the middle of the pot or higher. Pour half a kilogram of salt onto the paper, add some whole peppercorns, and place the whole chicken on top of the salt. 4) Close the lid and select the "Multicook" mode, set the temperature to 160°C (320°F), and set the timer for 45 minutes. If your multicooker doesn't have this setting, you can use the "Baking" mode for 1 hour instead. 5) Once the cooking cycle is complete, check the chicken for doneness by piercing it with a knife in several places. If needed, run the program for another 20–30 minutes. Overall, it's very simple and easy, and the chicken will delight you not only with its appearance but also with its amazing taste. Enjoy your meal! Serve hot.
